M.A.N. Kicking: 4-Hour Elite Training Session Overview

A 4-hour training session with M.A.N. Kicking offers a deep-dive into the technical, physical, and mental elements of elite-level kicking. Designed for serious high school, college, and aspiring pro athletes, this extended session provides both focused skill development and game-day simulation, under the experienced guidance of Coach Will Nicoloso.

Coach Will’s unique background—as a collegiate walk-on turned scholarship athlete, professional kicker, and respected coach—shapes every aspect of this session. His emphasis on proper technique, purposeful repetition, and mental preparation ensures that each athlete leaves with actionable improvements and renewed confidence.

Session Format Breakdown

1. Pre-Session Mindset & Goal Setting (15 minutes)
Each athlete sets personal objectives for the session—whether it’s refining mechanics, increasing range, or improving pressure performance. Coach Will leads a short talk on the mindset of elite kickers and what it means to train with intention.

Why it matters: Setting a clear goal sharpens focus, and Coach Will’s insights help athletes understand the “why” behind every drill.

2. Dynamic Warm-Up & Mobility Activation (20 minutes)
Includes:

  • Jogging & agility ladder work.

  • Dynamic stretches (leg swings, lunges, hip openers).

  • Ankle, knee, and hip mobility drills.

Why it matters: Warming up the body correctly allows for optimal performance and reduces risk of strain, especially during high-rep training sessions.

3. Technical Fundamentals & Drill Progressions (60 minutes)
Coach Will takes each athlete through their full kicking motion—from approach to follow-through. Athletes perform:

  • Dry reps (without the ball) to perfect muscle memory.

  • Technical breakdowns of field goal and kickoff mechanics.

  • Controlled drills focusing on plant foot, swing plane, posture, and contact point.

Sessions are filmed for real-time review and slow-motion analysis.

Why it matters: Precision starts with technique. Coach Will uses a “slow to fast” approach, ensuring athletes can replicate proper form under game speed.

4. Strength & Power Development Circuit (40 minutes)
Includes:

  • Explosive leg workouts (single-leg box jumps, resisted lunges).

  • Core strengthening (planks, dead bugs, med ball rotations).

  • Stability and balance drills.

Why it matters: A powerful kick relies on core strength, balance, and leg explosiveness. This segment is designed to build the athletic base needed for consistent deep kicks.

5. Game Situation Reps & Pressure Kicks (30 minutes)
Athletes rotate through live simulations:

  • Timed kicks.

  • Bad snap recovery drills.

  • Long field goals with crowd noise simulations.

  • Onside, squib, and directional kicks.

Coach Will coaches “on the fly,” just like a game, adding urgency and consequence to every rep.

Why it matters: These scenarios challenge athletes to respond under pressure and adjust when variables change. This segment builds poise and clutch performance.

6. Video Review & 1-on-1 Coaching (30 minutes)
Athletes sit down with Coach Will to review footage from earlier in the session. He breaks down mechanics, body language, and timing, and creates a 3-point improvement plan for each athlete.

Why it matters: Immediate feedback accelerates learning. Coach Will’s experience allows him to spot nuances others miss.

7. Recovery & Mental Reset (15 minutes)
A guided cooldown featuring:

  • Static stretching.

  • Foam rolling (if available).

  • Visualization and breathwork.

Coach Will ends the session with a mindset reset: how to reflect on today’s work and translate it into game-day execution.

Why it matters: Recovery is where growth happens. Mental resets help athletes stay focused on long-term goals.

What Sets This Session Apart

  • Proven Methodology: Coach Will’s “quality over quantity” approach ensures every kick has purpose.

  • Game-Level Coaching: With live feedback and real-game simulations, athletes are pushed beyond “just drills” into true development.

  • Mental Conditioning: Performance under pressure is trained, not just taught.

  • Personalized Attention: Even in group settings, Coach Will ensures tailored adjustments and direct feedback.

Whether you’re preparing for a college showcase, rebounding from a slump, or pushing to reach the next level, this 4-hour session will challenge you physically, sharpen you mentally, and bring measurable improvements to your kicking game.
